Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing the disposal of various county assets through Trade-In of nine hundred eighty (980) iVotronic terminals and booths, pursuant to Tx. Local Gov’t Code 263.152.
Background
On April 30, 2019, the Commissioners Court approved the purchase of new voting equipment and software from Election Systems and Software (ES&S) to replace current aging equipment. As part of the Sales Order Agreement approved by Court, ES&S would provide a Trade-In Allowance and Tabulation Hardware Discount in the amount of $346,000 for the current iVotronic terminals and booths.
