Agenda Item
Discuss and consider presentation from the Public Information Office on their receiving a TAMI Award of Excellence at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers conference in Denton for the category Video - PSA Educational.
Background
An educational video was created for the 10th anniversary of the Williamson County Conservation Foundation's (WCCF) Regional Habitat Conservation Plan (RHCP) in order to inform the public about the accomplishments of the WCCF and educate them about the RHCP and our preserve areas. It was created as part of the Parks Department's "At the Park with Mark" series. The video outlined the Leave No Trace principles that are practiced in these preserve areas and explained how responsible development can occur around endangered species thanks to the RHCP. The video tied for second place in the Video - PSA Educational category.
