Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on Professional Services Agreements for orthopedic and specialty surgical services between Austin Area Mobile Veterinary Surgery, PLLC and Williamson County relating to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter; and exemption of those services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 262.024(a)(4).

Dr. Might is a Veterinarian that travels to perform specialty surgeries at shelters and other Veterinary offices. We use the service occasionally which is far cheaper than the services at Specialty Veterinary Clinics. When we ask them to come in and perform a surgery, it is paid through Jane's Fund, the medical donation fund.
