Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on an order declaring an emergency and grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment to acknowledge the additional revenues for the Debt Service Fund.
Background
The county has three tax increment financing agreements with Georgetown, Leander and Taylor. Budget is based on preliminary assessed values in April. The certified values are not finalized until July. The certified values were higher than expected. Additional budget is needed to pay the invoices per the agreements. Interest is coming in higher than anticipated and can offset the additional expense.
