Background
Juvenile Services is requesting a budget line item transfer from Computer Software (BLI 3011) to Computer Equipment >$5000 (BLI 5740) in the amount of $18,422. The funds transferred will be used to purchase a new Livescan machine for fingerprinting youth as they enter detention. The current Livescan machine is approximately 12 years old and beginning in January 2020 will no longer be supported by the company. The new machine is needed to allow the department to continue to fingerprint youth and upload the prints to DPS.
