Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on amending the approval process of electronic requisitions of $5,000 or greater to give approval authority to the County Judge and/or his/her designee.

Currently all requisitions greater than $5,000 require approval from the County Judge. As the County has grown, the number of single transactions have increased and created the need for greater efficiency in the requisition process. This process change to allow the County Judge to designate alternate parties in the approval workflow will result in a quicker turn-around time on Purchase Orders while maintaining budgetary accountability.  Requisitions will continue to be reviewed by Purchasing for compliance with competitive bidding requirements and Budget for fund approval prior to final approval.
