Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on the approval and acceptance of fiscal year 2020 Homeland Security Grant funding in the amount of $78,000.00. This project is for the purchase of a new hazmat response trailer to upgrade the existing trailer located in Hutto.
Background
Williamson County currently utilizes four units/trailers for hazmat responses, rescue and mitigation in Williamson County and the surrounding CAPCOG region. This project would upgrade the recently moved hazmat response unit in Hutto to match the existing fleet and carry the required equipment to facilitate hazmat mitigation and decontamination procedures on the east side of the Williamson County.
