Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on a line item transfer for Regional Animal Shelter Fund.
Background
The shelter has seen an increase in repairs for items around the shelter, including our 10-year old parking lot gate. We need to move funds into 4510 in order to cover these repairs.
In order to prepare for the continuing pandemic, I propose to move $1500 from 3100 to 3318 so the shelter can stock up on disinfectant which is safe and recommended for animals and PPE. Due to COVID we are trying to maintain our stock and because of the high demand for that type of supplies right now sometimes the lowest price stock is not available or on backorder.
The pandemic has taken a hit to our surgery schedule. We are having to double up on surgery dates and have had less support from surrounding spay and neuter programs. I propose to move $450 from 3301 and $1000 from 3804 to cover our additional surgical costs and prepare for the future.
We are running very close in line 4975. In order to remain out of a deficit and have sufficient supplies for the animals, I propose to move $1500 from 3100 to 4975.
We are requesting moving these funds in lieu of a budget amendment as the remaining budget in lines 4999, 4210, 3804, 3301, 3100 will go unspent for Fiscal Year 2020.
