Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the appointment of Williamson County Facilities Project Manager, Bob Lubecker, with general authority to approve change orders for the contract with HCS, Inc. in relation to the Williamson County Justice Center Remodel Project, P515 for any increase or decrease in cost of $30,000.00 or less in accordance with Section 262.031 of the Local Government Code – Changes in Plans and Specifications; provided, however, the original contract price may not be increased by more than 25% and the original contract price may not be decreased by 18%  or more without the consent of the contractor.

Background

A request is being made for this authority due to the nature of performing contract work within the Justice Center and the necessity of an uninterrupted workflow to allow for continuity of schedules between Justice Center Staff and the Contractor. Section 262.031 of the Local Government Code allows for the grant of such authority up to $50,000.00.  Bob Lubecker will be serving as the Project Manager on the project.  Any change orders that are approved by Bob Lubecker will be placed on the Commissioners Court’s Consent Agenda the following week.
