Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving an increase to the funding for Emergency Service Districts relating to Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in the amount of $1,200,000.
Background
This increase will allow for the replacement of approximately $1.5 million of legacy radios for these agencies. These radios are not able to be repaired and present a public safety issue for these agencies and Williamson County Dispatch. The increase is being recommended to be allocated from the unallocated/unassigned funds in the CARES funding of $17 million.
