We received 5 submittals. The bids have been reviewed and the apparent low bid (DeNucci Construction) was found to be responsive and materially balanced. The lowest responsive bidder was $239,175.27 lower than the Engineer’s Estimate, a cost saving of 5.7%. The bidding was competitive with the two lowest bidders being within 1.8% of each other. In addition to meeting the bid qualifications subject to being low bidder, DeNucci Construction has successfully completed a previous Williamson County project (Forest North Phase II) performing similar work. Based on the quality of previous work done for the County and low bid of $3,964,380.00, HNTB concurs with the Design Engineer’s (Atkins) Recommendation of Award for the Hairy Man Road/Brushy Creek Road Improvements contract to DeNucci Construction in the amount of $3,964,380.00. Whit Friend - HNTB is the point of contact.
