Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving purchase for Williamson County Expo Roof Demolition Agreement between Building Abatement Demolition Company, Inc. and Williamson County for demolition services in the not-to-exceed amount of $15,000.00, exempting this purchase/agreement from competitive bidding requirements as per Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemption (state TLCG 262.024 section of the exemption), and authorizing the execution of the agreement, and any related necessary items to address emergency repairs.
Background
Due to the potential danger to life and further damage to property caused by the collapsed area of the covered expo center roof, an emergency purchase was necessary to be issued ahead of this agenda item for demolition to remove and make safe the affected area and to relieve additional stress on adjacent structural components. Department point of contact is Dale Butler. Funding source will be 01.0100.0409.004987.
