Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving an Interlocal Agreement between Williamson County and Hutto ISD Police Department for the sale of body armor in the amount of $100.00 and authorizing the execution of the agreement.
Background
A Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputy, David Lowthorp, is leaving the County and will be employed by Hutto ISD PD. Hutto ISD PD has asked to purchase his body armor from Williamson County. Body armor is fitted to each officer and purchasing a set of new body armor is not as cost-effective as purchasing an existing set that has been custom fitted. After the purchase has been made, the county no longer assumes warranty for the body armor. Please see the attached ILA agreement.
