Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #T4115 CR 375 Reconstruction to QA Construction Services Inc. and authorizing the execution of the agreement. Funding Source is P497.

The Purchasing Department solicited sealed bids for IFB T4115 CR 375 Reconstruction. Thirteen (13) suppliers participated in the solicitation of which six (6) suppliers submitted a bid. The bids were reviewed and evaluated by Road and Bridge and the apparent low bid (QA Construction Services, Inc.) was found to be responsive, mathematically correct, and materially balanced. The Contractor's low base bid is $1,102,750.00 below the Engineer's Estimate, a cost decrease of 1.4%. In addition to meeting the bid qualifications subject to being low bidder, QA Construction Services, Inc. has performed similar work on other projects and received positive references from those contacted. Based on the low bid of$1,102,750.00 and the previous work experience, the department recommends to the Williamson County Commissioners' Court that they award QA Construction Services, Inc. the contract for the CR 375 Reconstruction project.  Department point of contact for Road and Bridge will be Terron Evertson.
