Discuss, consider and take appropriate action regarding the engagement of attorney Audrey J. Blair to provide legal support to Williamson County District Judges in the performance of their duties as they relate to family law matters on an as-needed basis and subject to available budgetary funding; and exempt these services from the competitive bid/proposal requirements of the County Purchasing Act pursuant to the discretionary exemption for personal or professional services, as set forth under Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 262.024(a)(4).

In adjudicating complex family law cases judges often rely on expert legal support.  The services of attorney Audrey J. Blair are being recommended to support Williamson County District Judges in the performance of their duties as they relate to such family law matters.  Ms. Blair is Board Certified family law and, having performed similar consulting services for many years, is highly qualified to provide the services desired.  Services shall be contracted on an as-needed basis.  Total annual fees are not expected to exceed $20,000 per year or funds allocated.
