Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on creating a Risk Committee. 

A Risk committee would be composed off appointed members from several County departments. The proposal is to bring a list back to Commissioners Court in March with a recommendation of committee members by Human Resources. This committee's purpose would be to promote internal visibility of the financial and tactical role Risk Management plays in the overall success of the County's goals. They would review County loss trends and recommend improvements or corrective measures to reduce exposures. They would assist in identifying emerging risks and insurance products. They would promote education and proactive risk reduction strategies to their department and countywide. Meetings would be quarterly and around an hour, depending on the agenda.
