Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on appointing Gary Kovar to the Jarrell ESD #5 Board of Directors, replacing Charles Ashby for the remainder of his two year term that began on January 1, 2020 and will end on December 31, 2022.
Background
Gary Kovar will fill the open position left by Charles Ashby. Mr. Kovar has been very active in the Jarrell community since 2004. He has been a Williamson County small business owner for over 40 years. He served the Kiwanis Club of Georgetown for 20 years and also served 15 years with the Salvation Army of Austin. Mr. Kovar was interviewed by Commissioner Boles office and his references were verified. His application and resume are attached.
