Discuss, consider and take appropriate action to approve Agreement for software and support services renewal, including hardware and platform upgrades, between Codex Corporation d/b/a Guardian RFID and Williamson County to support jail management and operations of the Sheriff’s Department, via Buyboard Contract #669-22, in the total amount of $110,213.75. 

The Guardian RFID system is designed to maximize compliance and defensibility by digitally transforming the care, custody, and control environment in the jail setting.  The proposed software and services agreement, which was previously paid for solely with commissary funds, now involves a hybrid funding approach with both county budget funds (see quote for software system and services renewal $110,213.75 over three (3) years) and commissary funds (see quote for hardware and software upgrades $78,877.02). Due to the involvement of county funding, the agreements require approval by the county Commissioners Court. The vendor has added essential terms, including termination-for-convenience and qualifications of indemnification under Texas law.  The hardware in the amount of $78,887.02 to be funded from Sheriff's Commissary.
