Discuss, consider and take appropriate action for Veteran Services to pursue a grant with the Texas Veterans Commission which will assist Veterans in Williamson County who are in need of emergency financial assistance and are unable to physically drive themselves to their VA appointments. 

I will be applying for a grant with the Texas Veterans Commission. This grant will provide immediate financial assistance to Veterans in need, and it will also allow our department to fund our vehicle transportation program. Williamson County Veterans are priority to our county and at times need assistance with utility bills, rent and or transportation to their VA mandated appointments. If approved by the state for this grant, it will be beneficial to the Veterans Department for years to come.
