Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving agreement #2021251 between Excel Environmental, Inc. and Williamson County for a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan Development in the amount of $7,680.00 and exempting this purchase from the competitive bidding requirement per Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(2) [items necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the residents of the county] and to execute the agreement.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Fleet Department. Upon the recent purchase of a new waste oil tank it was discovered that the county is required to maintain a spill prevention, control and counter measure (SPCC) plan due to its geographic location. Legal, contract audit and budget have reviewed this purchase. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0882.0882.004100 as per FY 23 budget. Department contact is Kevin Teller.
