Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on acceptance of Texas Office of Court Administration Grant in amount of $472,003 in support of establishment of COVID Impact Court in the Williamson County District Courts.

On May 31, 2022, the Court approved application to the Texas Office of Court Administration for a grant award to support strategies designed to reduce the backlog of cases that has resulted from the impact of COVID-19 on court operations.  

OCA has notified us that they have approved our grant application, though not in the amount initially sought.  After working closely with OCA and stakeholders, we have revised our plan to match the funds granted and were notified on 11/15/22 that they have approved our revised proposal.  Once accepted, this grant will allow the Impact Court to function between 1/1/2023-8/30/2024.

The attached letter advises us of the award details, and we seek the Court's acceptance of this grant.
