Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving contract #2023108 with Johnson Controls Fire Protection LP and Williamson County for the remote annunciator addition to the existing fire alarm control panel in the Maintenance Shop in the amount of $15,275.47 pursuant to cooperative Sourcewell contract #030421-JHN and authorizing the purchase.

Background

Requisition # 130661 was submitted by the Facilities Management Department for the addition of a remote annunciator as listed in the proposal.  Remote annunciators are smaller panels that provide a fire system status and functional switches (e.g., acknowledge a signal or silence an alarm). They are installed in easily accessible areas for the authorized personnel to manage the fire alarm system from locations other than the main fire alarm control panel.  The scope of work includes labor, wiring, programming, testing, a new remote annunciator for the existing 4010ES network fire alarm control panel and a one-year warranty on the new equipment. A final inspection will be completed and (one) two-hour training session will be available. The systems we be installed in accordance with local, state and national standards. Funding source is 01.0100.1008.004510. Point of contract is Gina Wrehsnig or Christi Stromberg.
