Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the appointment of Williamson County Senior Project Manager, Angel Gomez, with general authority to approve invoices and change orders for the Williamson County Facilities Management department in accordance with Section 262.031 of the Local Government Code.

The Williamson County Commissioners Court previously granted specific Williamson County Facilities Management employees with authority to approve change orders and invoices for specific Williamson County construction projects.  In order to prevent delays that may arise when previously authorized employees are out of office or unable to approve change orders or invoices, it is necessary to also grant Williamson County Senior Project Manager, Angel Gomez, with authority to approve change orders and invoices in relation to Williamson County construction projects.  Currently Mr. Gomez is the Senior Project Manager in the Facilities Management Department which is responsible for (2) subordinate project manager positions and a combined 60+ projects.  Any change orders approved by Mr. Gomez will be placed on the Consent Agenda so they are acknowledged and made part of the minutes of the Williamson County Commissioners Court.
