Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving an addendum to the agreement between Williamson County and Indigent Healthcare Solutions, LTD.

Staff seeks to amend the current software license agreement originally approved in Commissioners Court under agenda item #19 on May 31, 2022, to add the Jail Indigent Claims to this software agreement.  Cost will be $8,088.00 per year.  This cost will be offset by the money saved from the accurate processing of jail medical bills at indigent rates.  This will also save on accounts payable processing time both in the administration with in the Jail/Law Enforcement budgets and within the Auditor's Office as the process will be fully automated.  Staff will be able to load a flat file into our AP system from this software versus hand keying bills and manually calculating rates.  The payment file can also be loaded back into the Indigent Healthcare Solutions system which allows the providers to access the payment status on the portal.  The original agreement was exempted as an item necessary to preserve the health and safety of the residents of Williamson County.  The increase of $8,088.00 per year, however, does fall within the 25% change order guideline.  Funding Source is 01.0100.0570.005741.  Department Contact is Susan Carmack.
