Discuss, consider and take appropriate action for the Parks Department to make application for a TxDOT 2023 Transportation Alternative grant for a shared-use path between CR137 and the Samsung plant west of Taylor. Project is associated with a future road project.
Background
Grant request is for $8,763,000 to fund the planning documents, construction plans, specifications and construction costs of an approximate 7.2 mile, 10' wide shared-use path between CR137 and the Samsung Plant west of Taylor. This project will enhance connectivity with residential areas. Grant match requirement is 20% ($1,752,600) and is anticipated to come from Park Bond funds.
