Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving quote #2023178 for purchase of Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training classes via the CDL Elite Program from Good Roby LLC for the Road and Bridge Department in the amount of $28,400.00, exempting the purchase from competitive bidding under Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(4) for personal or professional service and authorizing the execution of this agreement.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Road and Bridge Department. Requisition #131468 was submitted for the purchase of Class A Commercial Driver's License CDL Training classes in the amount of $3,550.00 per lesson for eight (8) employees with a total amount of $28,400.00. The CDL Elite training program consists of driver instruction classes with unlimited hours of behind-the-wheel training, and the furnishing of a dual controlled car for all practical instruction.
