Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving funding to supplement the JP3 Truancy Fund Case Manager position for FY24.
Background
Our office received notice from the Auditor’s Office on May 18th, 2023 that our Truancy Fund revenue has decreased over the years and will no longer support a full time FTE. Because we are past the deadline of requesting a new position during the FY24 budget process, we are asking the court for a “not to exceed” of $21,600 to supplement this position for FY24. The truancy fund will pick up the balance of funding needed in the amount of $50,000.
