Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $3,440.89 for Project 22IFB110 Southwest Bypass Extension (Joe Bland Construction) P: 352 Funding Source: Road Bond.

This Change Order compensates the Contractor for additional work related to several different changes made after the final plans were finalized.

1. The ditch line along the north side of Wolf Ranch was adjusted to avoid conflict with the City of Georgetown water line and proposed valve.
2. Per TCEQ’s request, cave gates were installed at Lobo’s Lair and Rattlesnake Cave in lieu of the proposed chain link fence around the perimeter.
3. The alignment of the Shared Use Path under the bridge was revised to better accommodate the future City Park and adjacent development.
4. A concrete driveway was placed to tie into existing concrete at the Wolf Ranch Apartments, instead of placing asphalt.
5. Due to the high rate of speed and the amount of traffic on SH 29, concrete barriers were installed for additional safety measures to protect the workers while constructing the eastbound widening on SH 29 at Southwest Bypass.

This Change Order also reimburses the contractor for the electrical service fee that was paid to the City of Georgetown for the signals at SH 29 and Southwest Bypass tie-in. See the attached Change Order for additional details.

This Change Order results in a net increase of $3,440.89 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $4,291,983.89. The original Contract amount was $4,288,543.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $3,440.89 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a .08% net increase in the overall Contract cost. As a result of this Change Order, thirty seven (37) days will be added to the contract.
