Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB #23IFB67 for Construction of the First Phase of Corridor C / SH 29 to the lowest and best bidder, Capital Excavation Company, in the amount of $30,540,848.03 and authorizing the execution of the agreement. Funding Source is P459.

Williamson County sent out over 1,500 notifications with seventy-five (75) document takers and five (5) submitting bids. The bids have been reviewed and the apparent low bidder, Capital Excavation Company, was found to be responsive and materially balanced.  Their lowest bid of $30,540,848.03 was 15.6% below the Engineers estimate. The bidding was competitive with the lowest two bidders being within 4.5% of each other. In addition to meeting the bid qualifications subject to being low bidder, Capital Excavation Company, has successfully completed previous projects for Williamson County. Based on the quality of work performed and favorable working relationship with the County and its Representatives, it is recommended to award the construction of the First Phase of Corridor C / SH 29 IFB #23IFB67 contract to Capital Excavation Company in the amount of $30,540,848.03.
