Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the Emergency Service Contract #2023260 between Williamson County and Randal's Tower Tech for the amount of $87,460.00, and exempting this purchase from the competitive bid/proposal requirements pursuant to the discretionary exemption as set forth under Texas Local Government Code § 262.024(a)(2) [an item necessary to preserve and protect the public health or safety or the residents of the county] and § 262.024(a)(3) [an item necessary because of unforeseen damage to public property], and authorizing execution of the agreement.

Background

Approval of this Contract will benefit the Radio Communications System with the repairs to eight (8) different tower sites that were damaged during Storm Mara. Randal's Tower Tech had performed the inspections on each tower earlier this year for damages. The attached estimates show the cost for repair(s) for each tower site. IT, Legal, Budget and Contract Audit have reviewed this agreement. Funding source is 01.0507.0507.004987. The department point of contact is Rick Akins.
