Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on authorizing the Purchasing Agent to advertise and receive sealed proposals for Williamson County Fiber Optic Cabling Expansion under RFP# 23RFP111. The Funding Source is ARPA , 445P FIBER IMPROVEMENT, 445A, TASK 2.1
Background
The County is seeking proposals from experienced companies for the installation of outside fiber, consisting of both aerial and underground pathways, connecting our buildings throughout the county. The selected company will be responsible for the full scope project, including survey, permitting, and construction costs, as well as any necessary right-of-way, attaching to existing poles, setting poles, boring and pull boxes. Installation of fiber to be done in 3 phases. The Funding Source is ARPA , 445P FIBER IMPROVEMENT, 445A, TASK 2.1, approved for $8,000,000.00. Point of Contact is Richard Semple and Chris Ball.
