Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on request of County Court at Law #2 to submit a grant application to the Texas Bar Foundation to support the Misdemeanor DWI/Drug Court program.
Background
The grant application will allow for enhancement of services for participants in the DWI/Drug Court program, allowing them to strengthen recovery skills. The grant request is in the amount of $66,605. It will also provide drug testing, Scrams and interlock ignition services to increase public safety. It will provide treatment/mental health training and treatment workbooks for the program participants, as well as supplies and software needed for record keeping and assessments.
