Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a line item transfer for Emergency Communications.
Background
This line item transfer is requesting moving funds from Full-Time Salaries to Over-Time Salaries for the remainder of the Fiscal Year. The office has experienced turnover and ongoing vacancies of telecommunicators. This transfer allows for the use of existing staff to meet the operational needs required utilizing over time. With several new hires currently on staff, we need to utilize existing staff to train the new hires and get them ready for full independent call taking, therefore taking away from our minimal staffing availability.
