Discuss, consider and take appropriate action authorizing the Williamson County Sheriff's Office to apply for funding through the Urban Area Security Initiative Federal Fiscal Year 2025-LETPA Projects (UASI-L) grant.
Background
The Sheriff's Office is seeking approval to apply for $139,055.00 through the Urban Area Security Initiative Federal Fiscal Year 2025-LETPA Projects (UASI-L) grant. Funds awarded will be used to purchase night vision goggles for the SWAT unit. This grant requires no match. A resolution is required.
Staff recommend the following action: Approve the Sheriff's Office to apply for the UASI-L grant and authorize appropriate County department personnel to complete documentation relevant to the implementation of the grant.
