Receive and acknowledge approval of Change Order No.4 from J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. for the Jail North Magistrate in the amount of $172,783.04 and to extend time for completion of the elevator installation, which was approved by Williamson County Project Manager, Thomas Crockett, pursuant to the Commissioners Court's prior delegation of change order approval authority pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031.

The Change Order No. 4 is made to compensate the contractor, J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. for cell scanning, RFI 122 R1, RFI 123, and RFI 129, elevator material storage, concrete for elevator pit, raise electricity and lighting on the elevator pit floor and add power at the top of the elevator shaft, elevator call button relocation, general conditions - Superintendent and Project Engineer, two month extension on scaffold, fire alarm, temporary bent plate for support, and to grant time extension to complete Jail North Magistrate elevator installation for J.T. Vaughn Construction, LLC. This Change Order results in a net increase of $172,783.04. The original Contract amount was $3,164,709., with previous Change Order amounts totaling $264,711.44. As a result of this Change Order, the net increase is 13.9% in the Contract cost with a new contract sum of $3,605,203.48. Williamson County Facilities Project Manager, Thomas Crockett was delegated change order approval authority for this project on January 23, 2024, by the Commissioners Court pursuant to Loc. Gov't Code Sec. 262.031. This item is to acknowledge such approval and record same into the minutes of the Commissioners Court.
