Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 1 in the amount of ($134,218.33) for Project 24IFB23 CR 129 (Chasco Constructors) P: 375 Funding Source: 2019 Road Bond.

Background

This Change Order provides the final balancing for the overruns/underruns of Contract quantities on the project that are a result of addressing field conditions not accounted for in the original plans. This Change Order also adds items for potholing utilities and installing a French drain to ensure positive drainage where groundwater was encountered. Please see the attached Change Order for additional details.

This Change Order results in a net decrease of $134,218.33 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $2,329,094.67. The original Contract amount was $2,463,313.00. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $134,218.33 has been deducted from the Contract, resulting in a 5.45% net decrease in the Contract cost. No additional days will be added to or deducted from the Contract as a result of this Change Order.
