9:30 am Conduct a public hearing relating to a request from the County Attorney's office to identify funding for a new position from either Non-Departmental, or to utilize unspent salary dollars, to the County Attorney's Budget for the position of Lead Attorney and discuss (1) the reason for the funding transfer, including the public purpose that will be served by transferring the funding; and (2) the exact amount of the funding transfer, the sources of the payment, and the terms for distribution of the payment that effect and maintain the public purpose to be served if any excess is needed.

The Annual Salary for the position is $91,647.57 ($123,088.04 with fringe). For a start date of 6/6/25, will need coverage for 8.3 pay periods, which is the $39,430.57 requested.

   The reason for the funding transfer, if required, is to set up the position within the County Attorney's budget and fund at the minimum of the grade (B.36) within current policy. The public will be well served by the role this position will play regarding compliance and reporting.
   The funding to be transferred, if required, is $39,430.57, which will be paid through the normal bi-weekly payroll. The amount requested will be effective June 6th and will fund the portion needed through FY25.
