Discuss, consider and take appropriate action authorizing the Williamson County Veterans Service Office to accept a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission (funds for Veterans Assistance) in the amount of $300,000 FY 2026.

The court previously approved the Veteran Services Office to apply for a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission (Funds for Veterans Assistance) in October 2024. The Veteran Services Office is now seeking approval to accept the total amount approved of $300,000 through this grant for emergency financial services. Funds awarded through this grant will be utilized to provide assistance to eligible Williamson County veterans and their dependents with emergency assistance with rent, mortgages, utilities, food-grocery, transportation rides and vehicle repair, and funeral assistance.
