Discuss, Consider, and take appropriate action on a line item transfer from Juvenile Services Department.
Background
Juvenile Services is requesting a line item transfer from line item 4102 Residential Services to 4100 Professional Services. Funds transferred will be used for architectural design for potential facility expansion. The department, in alignment with State guidance is working to keep youth closer to home and housed within our own facilities which we believe will allow us to transfer funds out of Residential Services. Last year the department was able to return approximately $300,000.00 from this budget line.
Chief Matthew has been in consultation with both Bob Daigh and the Juvenile Board regarding facility expansion. All parties agree that potential raise the age legislation pending that obtaining these architectural renderings is a proactive step at this time.
