10:00 Conduct public hearing relating to a request from the ITS Department to increase the budgeted salary amount for the position of Office Administrator, Position #0958, in the ITS Department and discuss (1) the reason for the payment in excess of the budgeted amount is being offer to the employee, including the public purpose that will be served by making the excess payment; and (2) the exact amount of the excess payment, the sources of the payment, and the terms for distribution of the payment that effect and maintain the public purpose to be served by making the excess payment.

This position was reclassified due to additional duties and responsibilities. The reason for the payment in excess of the original budgeted amount is to bring the position to the bottom of the new pay grade since all positions by policy, must be paid at least the minimum of the pay grade for the position. The public purpose that is served by this action is added efficiencies by decreasing the time that technology processes take to complete which could have a direct impact on services provided to the public, (i.e. software and hardware repairs, installations, etc.). The total annual salary cost increase is $4,537.97 from the department’s current unallocated funds and will be paid via the normal bi-weekly payroll.
