Discuss and take appropriate action on an Amendment to the current Texas State Library & Archives Contract for the County Clerk.

More money is needed on the contract that was signed last summer with the State Library before we knew that some of the older 35 mm microfilm we brought out of storage at Iron Mountain had begun to smell like vinegar, thus the oxidation process had started on them. They can duplicate the bad film. The oxidized film will have to be destroyed as it will affect other rolls and the destruction will spread. This is not money from the General Fund but the designated funds that we collect when documents are recorded. We have enough in a line item where we didn't spend all that we had been quoted to now use for this project. Iron Mountain never notified us that there were problems with any of the film. Another reason we are glad we have changed storage facilities.
