This Change Order adds a force account item to the contract to pay Austin Energy the cost to extend power service to the intersection. Austin Energy will extend power from the existing transformer along Pearson Ranch Road, just south of the intersection with Neenah Avenue. The County's Contractor, Austin Traffic Signal (ATS), will make the payment to Austin Energy for the work and the County will reimburse ATS for the cost. A force account was set up to pay the actual cost, plus an allowable 5% mark up for ATS and for any unforeseeable cost that may occur.
