Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on awarding IFB # 1807-252 San Gabriel Ranch Road Bridge to the lowest responsive bidder, A Greater Austin Development in the amount of $1,425,301.90.
Background
Williamson County received 10 bids and the IFB was viewed by 80 suppliers. The contractors bid of $1,425,301.90 is below the Engineer’s Estimate, a cost savings of 27%. In addition to meeting the bid requirements, A Greater Austin Development Co. has performed similar work on other projects and received positive references from those contracted. Based on the low bid and previous quality of work, the County Engineer’s Office recommends to the Commissioners’ Court, awarding A Greater Austin Development Co. the San Gabriel Ranch Road Bridge project.
