Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on Proclamation honoring Judge James Wayne Porter’s service to Williamson County.
Background
Judge James Wayne Porter has served Williamson County for more than 23 years as First Assistant County Attorney, Williamson County Attorney’s office and then as Administrative Judge, utilizing his outstanding legal skill to faithfully serve the citizens of Williamson County January 1, 1993 – January 31, 2019. He additionally has a rich history of service to his country having been Commissioned Second Lieutenant, in 1954, United States Air Force and courageously flying 100 missions over North Vietnam plus 23 over Laos during the Vietnam War accumulating approximately 4400 hours of flying time of which 198 hours was combat time. Retiring from the United States Air Force in 1980.
