Agenda Item
Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on accepting a Quitclaim Deed conveying Williamson County any interest held by the City of Georgetown in a portion of existing right-of-way at Williamson County’s property located at 7th Street and Pine Street as consideration for Williamson County grant of a twelve (12) foot sidewalk easement pursuant to a Sidewalk Maintenance And Access Easement; and authorize the County Judge to execute all instruments necessary for the grant of such easement.
Background
The City of Georgetown would like to remove 6th street access to the 7th street intersection and quitclaim deed any interest the City has in the remaining corner to Williamson County's already existing property to make way for an approximate 10-foot sidewalk in place of the current sidewalk, which will continue the sidewalk to downtown access from the University foot traffic. The City has agreed to continued maintenance of the sidewalk after the installation of the project. Documents as well as maps indicating intent are attached.
