TCEQ alleged Williamson County failed to obtain approval of an exception request prior to initiating a regulated activity over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone at a site located at CR 110 and Georgetown Inner Loop. Williamson County has denied any such failures. However, TCEQ and Williamson County have chosen to settle the allegation and contentions through TCEQ's assessment of an administrative penalty and Williamson County's payment thereof. Williamson County agreed to take 40% of the responsibility financially. Chasco paid the entire $6,000 penalty and were subsequently reimbursed $2,400 by Williamson County. The reimbursement accounted for 40% of the fine. The refund for $600 will be distributed in the same manner as the penalty was paid, 60% to Chasco and 40% to Williamson County.
