Discuss, consider and take any necessary action to authorize and designate the IT Operations Director or Sr. Director of Technology Services to sign occasional Google and Apple license and related agreements pursuant to Tex. Loc. Gov’t Code § 262.001(a)(3) for the express purpose of allowing the Williamson County Office of Emergency Management to have its phone app titled “WilCo Ready” available on these platforms and provide sufficient IT Department oversight for this project so long as: 1) there are no additional expenditures of funds beyond small initial license fee(s); and 2) the relevant license or terms of use are specifically related to this project.

This specific request is to allow the Technology Services department to enter into the developer agreements that both Apple and Google require to get an application ("app") published in their stores. These require online forms that are not signed documents in the traditional sense and are interactive forms. They are both one-time setup agreements for the County and will allow for future apps to be published as well. Apple charges $99 for this, and Google does not charge for developer accounts.
