Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on rejecting all submittals for RFP 1907-335 Fire and Safety Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Services and request that information related to competition be exempted pursuant to Texas Government Code 552.104.
Background
Williamson County received 3 proposals for RFP 1907-335 but only 1 was determined to be responsive. The RFP was viewed by 34 suppliers. It is the recommendation of the Facilities Department that we reject all submissions in order to obtain a greater number of proposals that would serve in the best interest of the county. An exemption is requested Pursuant to Government Code Sec. 552.104. EXCEPTION: INFORMATION RELATED TO COMPETITION OR BIDDING. (a) Information is excepted from the requirements of Section 552.021 if it is information that, if released, would give advantage to a competitor or bidder. Christy Stromberg and Shantil Moore are the point of Contact and Funding Source line item(s) Testing 100-509-4500 & Maintenance/Repair 100-509-4510 was submitted for FY2020 budget.
