Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing the extension of Asphalt Mixes contract 1809-262, renewal period 1, covering the term of 11/3/2019 - 11/2/2020, for the same pricing, terms and conditions as the existing contract with the primary vendor Industrial Asphalt, LLC. The secondary vendor, Texas Materials Group, f/k/a Oldcastle Materials, is a non-responsive vendor for this contract renewal.
Background
This is the first extension for this contract. The Road and Bridge department submitted a Vendor Performance Report (VPR) that reflects the primary vendor met all county requirements on this contract and requests to renew. The secondary vendor had not been utilized during the performance period and chose to be non-responsive to the contract renewal. This was approved in the FY20 budget under Asphalt Mixes, line item 01.0200.0210.003550.
