Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a request to apply for grant funding through the Texas Bar Foundation to support the Family Reunification Program initiated by the District Courts to improve outcomes in CPS cases.

The Texas Bar Foundation solicits charitable contributions and provides funding to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas, especially for programs that relate to the administration of justice; ethics in the legal profession; legal assistance for the needy; the encouragement of legal research, publications and forums; and the education of the public. A Texas Bar Foundation employee asked Williamson County to apply for funding, after hearing Judge Larson's presentation at Commissioners Court on the new Family Reunification Program to improve outcomes in the CPS cases.  The grant funding will help provide attorneys to children and families involved in the CPS system.
